Goodness, the past two days have been jam packed with studying for exams. I had a Foundations of Christian Thought exam yesterday. I actually really enjoy studying for this class because it's my chance to thoroughly eat away at all of the material given and digest what has been discussed over the past month or so. As usual I studied for no less than 8 hours for this exam and I can probably recite to you the 50 pages of the course pack that was on the exam. I went in there and I was the first one done with the 75 question multiple choice in 15 min. Haha. What can I say, I knew my stuff, that's for sure.
This morning, bright and early at 8am I had an Old Testament History and Literature exam. Another class that I have learned SO much in and another class that I thoroughly enjoy. I studied for about the same amount of time and got done in 20 min. with the same size test.
I enjoy days of exams because for some reason I feel like I have more time to either relax, or to do something for myself. As it is, I still wouldn't be getting out of class for another ten minutes and I've already caught up on some reading, checked important e-mails, read some blogs, and talked to V about work. Though I really only gained about an hour of my day, I still feel more accomplished when the day is over.
I am SO ready for Thanksgiving. It is going to be a much needed break. I get to see Joey and Melissa, and I get to see Mary. I absolutely cannot wait. Also, I have an official date that Saturday with Mat Becker from Bluecoats that I met this summer. He lives around the Chicago area and he wants to take me out for a day. We're going downtown to see the lights of Christmas and spending the day together. I think it'll be cute. He's really nice and means well, so don't be worried Joey. Haha. He's an incredible baritone player and was horn sergeant of Bluecoats this summer.
I hope we have a white Thanksgiving... it's my only hope of seeing snow this season. I really am having withdrawals. I don't even have a nice pair of shoes to my name any more. Every single day I wear flip flops and very comfortably at that. I hope I can manage to scrounge something up before Chicago because my toes will fo sho be freezing downtown... in the snow. But freezing would be so worth it.
I miss you. 1 week.
