I LOVE ice skating. It's like riding a bike, it was so easy to just jump right in. It was funny though because people from California definitely do not know how to ice skate. There were only a handful of people not holding onto the side the whole time. As opposed to the midwest when there's ONLY a handful holding onto the wall. Ryan kept his balance pretty well but had trouble moving faster than a turtle. haha. It was funny.
I got asked for money like 3 times outside the rink and we were sitting at a table directly across from a guy relaxing while smoking a joint. Hah.
It was a good night.
I have a huge crush on this senior who lives in my dorm. I have never met someone who has that much in common with me. I wish I could say I was exaggerating.
He is seriously the most hilarious boy I have ever met. I know he's testing the waters, but I also know that he's probably really hesitant because of the age difference (18...almost 19-23). He's a philosophy major (he's smart too). It's not just a crush though, I have never been so certain that I would be happy with a person like this. I am almost content thinking that eventually things might work out. I like him so much.
I honestly believe that God put him in my life for more than just a good laugh.
I guess we'll see how things work out. I've learned from a good friend here never to be the one pursuing and I have stuck to that. Girls should not be the one initiating conversations, online or in person, asking for numbers, asking to hang out... you know... it's really served me well, because I have always been the girl that guys talk to and like, but never want to be with or date. I think this can help. I'm not going to be the girl on the side anymore.
Playing hard to get? Maybe. But I think it'll work :)
