Prayer.

Please, I beg of you, pray for Stevo.

Turns out he’s had a pretty valid excuse (unfortunately) for not calling me for quite some time…

He was pulled over for “having no headlights”…. Even though they were on…
They gave him a DUI, even though he had not been drinking and they did not give him a Breathalyzer to check.
They illegally searched his vehicle and arrested him for possession of Marijuana, in which he was given a misdemeanor because it was less than an ounce.
He was fined for not having car insurance with him.

A friend ratted him out the police with his license plate number, name, and vehicle make-up because he himself was in trouble. He was able to pay off the cops with just a name, because he had no way of getting money to pay off fines. Just a year a go, this same guy stole $100 dollars from Stevo’s house. Christmas money that his Dad had saved for him.

All in all, he has $6000 worth of fines and has to pay $2000 for his attorney….

He goes to school 5 days a week and works with his dad on weekends…. He does not have a ton of money right now.

I only pray that this ends up being an outlet for him to search for You, God. As CS Lewis states, "God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: it is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world." I just hope, I pray, I long, for him to find You. I just pray that his heart doesn’t harden and become bitter first.
